ChickBait was founded by myself and Charley Feldman in 2014.
While no longer in operation, we were a boutique production company and team of artists specializing in original concepts and creative branded content for YouTube and beyond.
Below are a few personal favorites, but feel free to check out the channel, here!
In 2017 ChickBait created a sketch called "Jem Reacts," in response to the 2015 live action movie, which was quickly loved and shared across the Jem fandom and community. That inspired us to make our own short film, which became a reality thanks to crowdfunding (earning over $10K) and many, many favors. "Truly Outrageous: A Jem Fan Film" made its debut in 2018 and has been featured in Rolling Stone, Nerdist and Hornet.
The sketch that inspired our first fan film! We made this in response to the trailer for the live action, Jem and the Holograms movie. We obviously had a few opinions about the trailer that other Jem fans shared and they called for us to make our own movie, which was completed in 2018.
Conceptualized and directed by yours truly, this video has almost 20 MILLION VIEWS. I am both impressed and annoyed that this his been my loudest splash on the internet to date!
